Activities

The biggest, most attractive event held at Igartubeiti is Cider Week, which takes place in October.

Sagardo Astea 700 x 469

A demonstration staged of the traditional cider making process used by local farmers in the 16th century, with cider on offer to visitors who wish to taste it for themselves.

After fermenting in casks, the cider is transferred to barrels for tasting, as bertsolari folk singers provide entertainment.

Baserri eguna [“Farmstead Day”] is a tribute to Basque farmers in acknowledgement of all the hard work that they have done and continue to do over the years.

The cider press in the Igartubeiti farmhouse serves not only to make cider but also as a setting for concerts, thanks to its excellent acoustics.
